Cabinetry - Designer/Detailer

This is a full-time, on-site Microvellum Designer/Detailer position located in Auckland. The role involves creating detailed designs and production documentation using Microvellum software. Responsibilities include collaborating with the production team to ensure accuracy, interpreting client specifications, troubleshooting design challenges, and maintaining precise standards for manufacturing processes.

 

You will be:

• Providing top-tier customer service fused with humour, banter and professionalism

• Creating detailed blueprints and visual representations for kitchen and office cabinets based on client requirements and preferences.

• Using Microvellum software to work seamlessly with CNC machines

• Liaising with contractors, cabinet makers and clients to ensure deadlines are met

• Ensure health safety and environmental risks are considered and identified for of all workers when scoping all site work

• Create and establish rapport with prospective and existing customers

 

You will need 

• You don't need to be skilled in Microvellum software as this can be taught, but computer literacy is required

• Strong skills in interpreting technical drawings and specifications

• An understanding of manufacturing processes and materials is important

• Collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with production teams

• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills

• Proficiency in relevant design tools or software is advantageous

• Previous experience in a similar role or within the woodworking/joinery industry is a plus
