Post Tensioning Foreperson (Precast)

The role:

Working for a multi-disciplined post tensioning company, servicing both the civil infrastructure and the commercial building markets throughout New Zealand.

With a depth of history spanning over 20 years being involved in some of the largest projects around New Zealand,  these guys learned through experience that it is the relationship between the parties that enables the work to be carried out accurately and efficiently. They’re not ust about supplying precast on time and on budget, but also the ease at which you and all staff complete the project.

 

You will be:

  • Managing site activities for the install, stressing, and grouting for:

    • Slabs - Tanks - Walls - Bridges 

  • Job planning, programming, and resourcing 

  • Taking responsibility for Quality Assurance 

  • Ensuring Environmental compliance 

  • Ensuring plant and equipment is tested, calibrated, and fit for purpose 

  • Managing material stocks 

  • Front-footing client communication

  • Mentoring and training staff

  • Tracking material and equipment procurement 

  • Ensuring/Managing compliance with the Health and Safety Act 

  • Carrying out daily pre starts and toolbox safety talks 

  • Machine operations (that are trained/competent to use)

 

You will need:

  • Good knowledge of post tensioning and grouting 

  • 5 + years in industry with experience working on construction sites 

  • Practical experience in the infrastructure industry

  • Current Class 1 driver's licence

  • Experienced in the management of staff

  • Good Knowledge of New Zealand health and safety requirements 

  • Physically capable to complete work

  • Good team player and proven leadership skills

  • Honest and reliable and Trustworthy

  • Strong  written and oral communication skills and proficiency with  computer skills

  •  

Not mandatory 

  • Working at heights / Harness Unit standard 

  • Elevated work platform Unit standard 

  • US30072 / 3789 load slinging and directing cranes
