Designer / Detailer (Joinery)

A great opportunity for an experienced Designer / Detailer to join the team at one of NZ's most successful bespoke Joinery and Cabinetmakers and help build the team to another successful decade.
 

The role:

• Creating detailed 3D models from design drawings ready for nesting with Microvellum software

• Producing production drawings while interacting with customers through the process

• Working closely with architects, designers and the production team

• Ensuring efficient resolution of all issues through the production process

• Submitting drawings for approval within outlined production timeframes

• Being responsible for completing cabinet/fixture drawings

• Revising marked-up drawings and confirming hardware specifications/requirements

• Engineer cabinets/fixtures for production using Microvellum and other software packages

 

The Skills:

• Previous experience in Cabinetry and Joinery is essential

• Experience with Designer software (Microvellum, AutoCAD) is important to ensure an efficient start in the role

• Able to work autonomously (with backup assistance from the Project Manager)

• Strong customer service skills and ability to sustain good relationships

• Situationally aware - to identify areas of improvement and communicate suggestions

• Excellent time management skills and reliability

• A great eye for detail

• A ‘hands on’ attitude and proactive personality
