Concrete - it’s complicated - and that’s exactly why we’re looking for a Technical Manager capable of some edge-of-the-seat yarns to entertain and regale those in the know and those who want to know.

The role:

You will take responsibility for the technical design management requirements overseeing various technical activities for concrete delivery and installation processes.
The role will also ask as a Subject Matter Expert both internally and externally when required

 

The skills:

  • A tertiary qualified Engineer (Civil/Structural)

  • A minimum of 7 years experience within the construction industry preferably in 
related trades (concrete)

  • Technical knowledge of floor design and detailing, particularly the application of 
yield line analysis to thin plate structures

  • Surveying and testing skills – for specific tests such as floor flatness and general 
construction industry set out

  • An understanding of contracting/project management principles - Including 
programming, breaking tasks into daily work plans, using slack and multiple work 
faces etc.

  • Experience with key industry software such as Project Management tools (MS 
Project, Primevera) and design tools (CAD/Revit)

  • High level communication skills with the ability to enhance communication and 
build and maintain effective relationships

  • A result focused, commercially astute outlook and a practical approach to problem 
solving

  • Ability to travel when required
