The role:

The role of Drafting and Design Specialist does not involve drafting and design - but more the co-ordination of these. In this role you will be collaborating with the Technical Manager and Project Administrators to co-ordinate the technical aspects from Resource Consents to Code Compliance Certificates to ensure the delivery of quality accurate plans and assisting with on-site detailing issues as required.

Your Skills:​

  • Excellent communication skills is going to be very important to be successful in this role

  • Strong problem solving skills, both at the drawing table/screen and on-site

  • Co-ordination and management of all aspects of the process through formation, consenting and completed construction drawings

  • Providing technical and logistic support to our team of Project Managers to ensure successful and seamless delivery of our projects

You will need:

  • Comprehensive career exposure in NZ residential design and drafting

  • A relevant tertiary education would be an advantage, but not necessary if you have the right skills

  • Knowledge and experience with the NZBC / NZ3604 standards

  • Previous experience with Council compliance and consenting processes

  • Knowledge of public infrastructure requirements would be a bonus

  • Full NZ drivers license and relevant work visa/residency to work in NZ
