The role:

Actively promote a positive health and safety culture and drive health and safety initiatives set by the company

Deliver a five-star experience to all customers

Acquire new, profitable customers.

Service and maintain existing customers.

Understand customer requirements and constraints, and delivering practical, mutually beneficial scrap metal service solutions.

Record all customer details and daily BDR activity in SalesForce

Ensure all administrative tasks are completed thoroughly and in a timely manor

Build and maintain key relationships with industry relevant organisations

Be a key contributor of the implementation of sales processes within the business

The Duties:

  • Identify potential customers to target.

  • Cold calling to create awareness of company services and locations.

  • Follow up on all sales leads.

  • Convert sales leads into profitable customers.

  • Planning and execution of customer site visits

  • Handle customer queries and complaints.

  • Ensure health safety and environmental risks are considered and identified for of all workers when scoping all on and off site work.

  • Ensure jobs are priced accordingly to cover all costs to company, including but not limited to, transport and freight, health, safety and Environmental and labour costs

  • Create and establish rapport with prospective and existing customers.

  • Drive the company class 1 vehicle as required to do customer collections

  • Create customer delight by going the extra mile.

  • Take a proactive approach to any potential customer delays with positive early interactions and communication.

  • Engage with customers on a regular basis to understand how their experience could be improved.

  • Identify and escalate any opportunities for improvement with the wider team

  • Efficiently deliver a service-recovery response when a customer complaint has been received.

  • Capture all prospective and current customer data in CRM system, ensuring records are kept up to date.

  • Ensure all daily BDR activity is recorded in Salesforce with correct and accurate detail

  • Generate and administrate customer reports, dashboards and pricing lists

  • Ensure all administrative activities are completed in a timely manner and with accuracy

  • Other activities may be undertaken as required.

Their Offer:​

  • A base salary of between $70,000 - $80,000 (based in skills/experience) plus a commission structure, laptop and phone
