Senior Quantity Surveyor

The role:

• Assisting with cost control on projects

• Establishing cost reports for projects across setup, cost codes, estimates and uncommitted costs

• Reviewing all Head Contract documents

• Communicating effectively with clients, subcontractors and your team

• Updating and re-quoting of variations when required

• Reviewing subcontractors and offering recommendations when required

• Understanding of construction drawings and tender documents

• Estimating new projects

• Obtaining subcontractor quotes and reviewing conditions etc.

• Preparing comparison reports

• Preparing and submitting monthly progress claims

• Site visits as required

Your skills:

• Preferred minimum of 6 years relevent experience working on commercial projects in the New Zealand market

• Main contractor experience would be an advantage

• Experience with preparing and submitting tenders

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• A great work ethic and ability to think outside the box

• Self motivated and able to build and retain strong relationships

• Attention to detail
