Weighbridge Operator

As Weighbridge Operator, you will be developing and maintaining customer relationships, key sub contractors, supplier and vendor relationships to support the delivery and ongoing sales pipeline.



 

The Job                  

• Take a proactive approach to promote and ensure a positive customer experience for all incoming customers.

• Run an efficient, professional and accurate weighbridge with a focus on accuracy of data into the Scrapit system.

• Ensure correct communication of metal grades from the yard team are entered into Scrapit

• Entering container information into Scrapit - container/seal numbers/weights

• Clear and accurate communication with the yard team about the load commodities via the radio.

• Provide administrative support to the yard team in all aspects.

• Provide administrative support to the Administration team as required by the Team Administrator.

• Manage all aspects of the weighbridge in conjunction with the Yard Manager.

• 100 hour fortnight (First week 53hrs including Saturday/Second week 47hrs Mon-Fri on rotating weeks)

The Skills

• 2+ year's experience working with Weighbridge Operation

• Ability to engage build relationship with a variety of characters

• Solutions focused, able to leverage your team to solve problems

• A relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage, but not essential

• A safe set of hands for cash handling and record keeping
