Technical Project Lead

This opportunity involves overseeing the design and technical aspects of residential construction projects from Resource Consents (RC) through to Code Compliance Certificates (CCC). You’ll act as the central hub for the internal and external teams, helping ensure architectural, structural, and civil components align with budgets, standards, and timelines.

The job scope:

• Coordinate and manage external consultants to deliver high-quality working drawings.

• Support Project Managers and construction teams during the build phase.

• Problem-solve technical and design challenges during construction.

• Ensure plans and documentation meet NZBC, NZS3604, and Council compliance requirements.

 

The skills:

• 5+ years of NZ-based experience in architectural drafting or project coordination.

• Strong understanding of the NZ building code and consenting processes.

• Excellent communication skills—verbal and written.

• Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Qualification in Architectural Technology or similar (preferred but not essential).

• Experience with public infrastructure or development projects (a bonus).
