Area Manager - Multi-site

The job:

• Lead a team of Yard Managers and report to the Operations Manager — making a real and visible impact on the business from day one

• Drive operational strategy and continuous improvement across a growing number of buying sheds.

• Deliver CAPEX and OPEX budgets, stock management, and site profitability

• Lead weekly management meetings and hold your team accountable to performance targets

• Produce regular operational, stock, and P&L reports for the CEO and SLT

• Champion a positive HSE culture and ensure all incidents, near-misses, and risks are reported and actioned in the Vault HSE system. Oversee site-specific risk registers, safe operating procedures, and environmental compliance

• Set a high bar for customer service, site presentation, and turnaround times to build relationships with customers and utilise all provided tools to protect the reputation of the business

The skills:

• Previous experience with multi-site management is essential

• Strong communicator with the ability to manage up, across, and down effectively

• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience in P&L and operational budgets

• Solid understanding of HSE legislation, ideally including the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015

• Experience with systems such as POS, Employment Hero, Vault, or similar operational tools is a bonus

• Second-Hand Dealers certification would be a great advantage, but if not this can be acquired later with assistance
