The role:
Running a team of 5 to 8 staff, from operators, cashiers to temping staff, this is a role that will benefit previous experience with heavy machinery to compliment your natural leadership skills.
This is a hands-on role working with the customers and truck drivers, so a forklift licence, a can-do attitude and a willingness to get amongst it and get your hands dirty is necessary. It is also a very high “trust” environment, so personal integrity is a factor in your success.
If you have great supervision skills, high integrity and enjoy building relationships, this could be the role for you.
You will be:

Leading a small but effective team to high performance

Responsible for adhering to all relevant safety rules and regulations and ensuring that they are enforced and maintained including filling out & monitoring all health & safety related paperwork on a daily basis.

Responsible for the safe and effective running and daily duties of a medium sized site crew.

Able to liaise with the customers to ensure that all works are performed in a safe and timely manner to the satisfaction of the customer.

Strong experience with Profit & Loss, Budgets and Stocktakes is essential as this is a primary part of the job

45 hours Monday to Friday and 8-1 every Saturday
You will need:
-
Leadership skills, obviously

Budgeting, Profit and loss and Stocktake experience

A forklift licence would be an advantage, but full training will be given

Previous experience or familiarity with yard work, heavy machinery and loading containers

Be able to engage with a variety of different people/customers from varied backgrounds
-
Be a New Zealand citizen or resident
-
Hold a full NZ drivers licence
-
A good understanding of Health and Safety relevant to the worksite
